18 Melpomene is a big and gleamy asteroid. It is located in the main-belt asteroid. It is made up of metals and silicates. It was discovered by well known English astronomer John Russell Hind. He made its discovery on June 24, 1852. Its name is related to Greek mythology. In 1993, it was contemplated with the Hubble Space Telescope.
