Titanic was a passenger liner and the world’s largest passenger steamship. It struck with a gigantic iceberg and sank in the Atlantic Ocean on the coast of Newfoundland, Canada on April 14, 1912. It was discovered in 1985 by Dr. Robert Duane Ballard, a scientist, navy officer and a professor of oceanography. He discovered the Titanic wreckage from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean by a joint effort.
