Hoag’s Object is a ring galaxy with uncommon structure. It is located about 600 million light-years away in the Serpens constellation. It was discovered by most famous American astronomer, Arthur Allen Hoag in 1950. He described it as a peculiar galaxy or a planetary nebula including 8 billion stars.
