4 Vesta or Vesta is a luminous asteroid. It contains roughly 9% of the mass of the whole asteroid belt. It is the second vast creature in the asteroid belt.

Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers, a German astronomer discovered it in the Virgo constellation on March 29, 1807. It was named after Roman virgin goddess, Vesta.
