Asteroid is a celestial body which rotates around the sun. It is also known as minor planet or planetoid. 14 Irene is a vast asteroid situated in the asteroid belt. Its alternative names are A906 QC, A913 EA and 1952 TM.

It was discovered on May 19, 1851 by prominent English astronomer, John Russell Hind. Its name comes from Eirene which represents a peace in Greek mythology.
